During the British Temperance Movement in 1829-1853, the Tea Party organized tea parties throughout the country to promote tea as antidotes to spirits.Tea was considered as sacred and useful Victorian drinks at last.The temperance movement developed into tea movement in which tea plays an important role of assuaging anxieties, promoting social harmony and the development of British economy and international trade.
