[Purpose/Significance] It is helpful for the orderly development of network society and the enhancement of information sources to discuss the current situation, problems and governance of information sources in the digital era. [Method/process] This paper sorts out the main characteristics of information sources in the digital age, analyzes the multidimensional value and a series of challenges brought by the development of information sources, and finally discusses the governance system and development trend of information sources in the digital age.
