摘    要:2004年7~9月,利用垂直监测昆虫雷达(vertical-looking radar,VLR或insect monitoring radar,IMR)在成都西郊文家场进行了空中昆虫初步监测。结果表明:7、8月份夜间昆虫虫口密度相对较大,在20:00~22:00有一较明显的高峰期。进入9月份夜间昆虫相对减少且没有明显的高峰期,白天午后虫口密度相对较高。观测到昆虫飞行高度主要集中在1 200 m以下,大部分集中在300~600 m。在观测时间内每天06:30左右有约15 min回波突然增多的现象,而且昆虫数量受天气条件影响较大。

Abstract:Using the newly-developed vertical-looking radar(VLR),this study focused on the high-flying insects in western suburbs of Chengdu during July-September,2004.The results showed that the insect density was relatively high between 20:00-22:00 in July and August.Since September,the number of insects decreased and had no obvious peaks,but the number of insects abruptly increased at about 14:00.The height the insects could fly was largely below 1 200 m and most insects flied between 300 m and 600 m.There was an obvious peak at 06:30 am,lasting for about 15 minutes,during the monitoring period.At the same time,the weather conditions had a strong effect on insect density.This article mainly discussed about the capability of this system and described its primary application in the study of insect migration in China.
