| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of glycyrrhizin compound with rifampicin and doxycycline in treating brucellosis. Methods 220 Patients with brucellosis were randomly divided into two groups, the treatment group and control group, The patients in treatment group were given oral glycyrrhizin tablets compound with rifampiein and doxycycline, while the patients in control group were given rifampiein and doxyeycline to observe the clinical efficacy. Results For 110 patients in treatment group, the curative rate was 98.18%; and for 110 patients in control group, the curative rate was 70.00%. Comparing the results of two groups the difference was significant （χ2 = 12.40, P 〈0.01）. Adverse drug reaction of the treatment group was 6.36%, while that of control group was 22.73%, The difference was significant （χ2= 5.20, P 〈0.05）. Conclusion Glycyrrhizin Compound with rifampiein and doxycyeline is a new and effective treatment method for acute brucellosis. |
