Preliminary Analysis on Ornamental Grass and its Application in Golf Course

Ornamental grass is a kind of herbaceous plants which has beautiful shapes,various colors and high ornamental values. It has been winning people’s favor in the recent years,not only because of its unique types,shapes,colors,inflorescences,seasonal rhythms and innervations,but also because of its wide adaptabilities,strong resistances,low maintenance and management costs. With the popularity of the countryside landscape, ornamental grass has been gradually applied in the urban green spaces,to create a natural and rustic landscape with groundcovers and seasonal flowers, as lawns,flower borders,and flower clumps and so on. Its morphological characteristics and ecological adaptabilities both met the plants requirements in golf course landscape design,and it can be applied in the putting greens,service platforms,fairways and high-grass areas,enriching the plants landscape.
