Abstract:Two dogs with neurologic signs were evaluated by magnetic resonance imaging of the brain. Focal space-occupying lesions were present in both dogs. In the first, the lesion was in the brain stem and in the second, in the cerebellum. In one dog the lesion was only evident after administration of gadolinium-DTPA-dimeglumine. Based on the magnetic resonance images, neoplasia was suspected in both dogs but histopathologically, granulomatous meningoencephalomyelitis was diagnosed.
