| Abstract: | The results of a long-term experiment on creating steppe field shelterbelts on sloping lands are given. The most important characteristics of the steppe shelterbelts, these quasi-natural plant communities, are unlimited longevity, self-reproduction of rich flora, annual regeneration after a fire, optimal environment for wild fauna, and 95–97% reduction of runoff processes. |
