Abstract: | THE operation of ring-grafting consists in the removal of a ring of bark from the stem, and its replacement by a similar ring taken from another variety. Gamer (1947) has drawn attention to the risk of bridge tissues being formed from the underlying stem, at the point where the two vertical edges of the split ring are brought together. |
