Abstract: | Results are given of field trials in which various chemical sprays were tested for control of the strawberry mite Tarsonemus fragariae. Activity of most compounds was poor, although promising results were obtained with Bayer 5024 (methiocarb), Boots BTS 27419, Du Pont 1642 and Shell WL 21959 (‘Talcord’). None gave as good control as a standard endosulfan spray, but some results were better than those achieved with a standard application of dicofol. |
