Abstract:In order to investigate the effective antibacterial components of the Herba Taraxaci, the extraction of Herba Taraxaci(dandelion) was prepared by ultrasonic technique and different components of it were separated through macroporous adsorption resin D101.The test tube method was used to examine the bacteriostasis of each component. The results showed that phenolic composition was mainly existed in the fraction eluted with 40% of ethanol, and the flavonoids in the fraction eluted with 90% of ethanol. The susceptibility tests indicated that the fractions eluted with 90% and 40% ethanol were the chief antibacterial parts of dandelion, which had significant inhibitory efficacy on bacteria derived from bovine hidden mastitis, including S.aureas,E.coli,S.dysagalactiae,S.agalactiae and S.uberis.
Keywords:Herba taraxaci  The macroporous adsorption resin  Antibacterial component
