Abstract:This paper describes the experiences of the authors with the Texas A&M University model when used to simulate the production of beef cattle in a grazing system. Problems associated with the lack of interaction between pasture and animals, including the monthly time interval, supplementation and an input parameter (weight at maturity), are discussed.
