Application of recessive tall restore line eR127 in hybrid rice combination

Abstract:Dried seeds of restore line R127 were treated with γ rays of9.699 C·kg-1 Co60 and the mutants were obtained from M2 population, named eR127. The research results indicated,the mutation gene of R127 belonged to recessive one and eR127 line was allelic to such recessive tall mutants as Grlc of Guizhou, 76∶4512 of the United States, IR50 eui and 02428h of Jiangsu; When eR127 and R127 were crossed with CMS lines Longtepu A, Gang46 A, Zhenshan97 A and V20 A respectively, the plant type of hybrid F1 didn’t show significantly difference, however, compared with control, hybrids carrying eui gene showed 2-3 days earlier heading, a slightly increased plant height, higher 1000-grain weight and yield potential;seed breeding field of restoring line eR127 not sprayed 920 also gain high yield.
