| Abstract: | This paper systematically studies the growth rule of Phyllostachys virax, and also discusses the growth rule of monopodial bamboos. With the study on growth rule of both underground and aboveground parts of Ph.virax, the conclusion can be reached that bamboo forests can unceasingly asexually regenerate if the cultivation and utilization of Phyllostachys virax are based on the growth rule to implement scientifi c management and conduct reasonable cutting and utilization.
