Abnormal Climate Environment and Tree Rings

Tree rings provide a historical record of tree growth that reflects the changes with time in site factors including climate and environment. Statistical methods can be used to find out climate influences on tree rings to yield a climate response model that indicates weather changes or other influences of environment in tree growth. This paper introduced the methods that use statistical approach to estimate the response model and gain the information of variation on climate-environment with a high accuracy and stability. The present studying situation on the correlation between radial growth and environment pollution together with at mospheric CO₂ concent ration were summarized. The progress on abnormal climate-environment variable influencing tree rings was discussed.
