Functional characteristic and application of omega-3

Abstract:Omega-3 is a group of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are important substances in human cells and cannot be synthesized in the human body which must be taken from the outside. The definition and physiological functions of omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids(UFAs) were simply introduced in this paper. Application and significant development of omega-3 UFAs in domestic and foreign functional food were reviewed. The application prospect of omega-3 UFAs will be helpful to the development and utilization of omega-3.
