| Abstract: | Two interspecific hybrid combinations of Gossypium were treated with phytohormon-es, including GA3, NAA, IAA, BR and ABA. It was found that treating hybrid plants oflow generation 3-4 times during the time of growth could facilitate the normal developm-ent of the hybrid embryo sac. hybrid plants treated with 40ppm GA_3 and 100ppm NAAproduced costantly higher proportions of normal embryo sac, bollbearing and seeds per boll,while different hybrids responded differently to the treatment of BR from 0.05 to 0.1ppm.Nevertheless, further verification is needed as to the effects of 2 ppm ABA and 300ppmIAA. |
