| Abstract: | Bartonella spp.are very important zoonosis pathogens,and the transmission may be much complicated.Numerous animals including bovine,canine,human,rodent species can serve as the hosts,and biting flies,fleas,keds,lice,sandflys can serve as reservoir hosts.Cats can be infected with five Bartonella species,B.henselae,B.clarridgeae,B.bovis,B.koehlerae and B.quintana.The cat scratch disease mainly caused by B.henselae and B.clarridgeae.In the hosts,Bartonella can cause bacteremia,inflammation in lymph nodes,liver or spleen,central nervous system dysfunction,polyarthritis.Thrombocytopenia,lymphocytosis,neutropenia,and eosinophilia have been reported in B.henselae-infected cats.Serology,PCR and culture isolation can be used to diagnosis of feline bartonellosis, |
