| Abstract: | Arginine (Arg), as an important essential amino acid, presents many physiological and biochemical functions in young mammals. Deficiency of Arg often occurs in suckling piglets due to insufficient Arg in breast milk. Considering the antagonism and side-effects of exogenous Arg, the endogenous synthesis of Arg plays an important role in Arg balance in piglets.
