| Abstract: | Herbaceous plant composition and diversity in Ulanbuh Desert were analyzed based on plant specimen,field investigation and reference search.The results showed that there were 232 herbaceous species in Ulanbuh desert,which belonged to 120 generas and 41 families.Among these families,Compositae,Gramineae and Chenopodiaceae were dominant.Herbaceous plant life form could be divided into therophyte,biennial,perennial and herbaceous vines types.Perennial hereage had a wide distribution.Among total 149 perennial species,there were only 5 species herbaceous vine.The main types of herbaceous plant associations were Agriophyllum squarrosum,Psammochloa villosa+Agriophyllum squarrosum,Agropyron desertorum+Phragmites australis,Allium mongolicum and Achnatherum splendens,Iris lactea var.chinensis,Phragmites australis,Sophora alopecuroides and Typha minima in Ulanbuh Desert.Herbaceous plant grown well in Ulanbuh desert.And distribution of herbaceous species and quantity varied with different habitats. |
