| Abstract: | The isolation of N-methyl-4-hydroxy-3-(2',3'-epoxyisobutyl)-2-quinolone (1), a new natural compound, and candicine (2) from Galipea officinalis trunk bark is reported. This is the first report of candicine in the genus Galipea. |
