| Abstract: | An application of principal component analysis in soil classification based on nine kinds of characters of twenty-one soil samples collected in Shonghuajiang Prefecture Heilongjiang Province was reported in the paper. The results indicated that principal component analysis in soil classification was fit for real situation and was better than the methods of present soil classification. It may be used in the practice of basic soil classification and basic land classification. The stable, accurate and representative characters as the basic data in the principal component analysis in soil classification should be used. |
