The Exploitation and Utilization of Elaeagnaceae Resources in Gansu Province

After the systematic research and comprehensive analysis of the germplasm resources of wild fruit tree of Elaeagnaceae,it is clear that there are 2 categories,11 species and 2subspecies of Elaeagnaceae resources in Gansu province.The fruits,rich with vitamin,carbohydrate and amino acids,can be eaten as a raw food,brewed as wine,processed as jam,made as fruitcake or fruit juice,and used as medicine.The paper mainly illustrate the wild fruit tree resources of Elaeagnaceae in Gansu from the perspective of its distribution,habitats,the commercial character and its usage,meanwhile,analyze the chemical composition and the utilization value of several wild fruit trees with high commercial value,and make a proposal of sustainable utilization of them.The paper aims to underlie the reasonable development and utilization of these resources in the field of fruit breeding,food processing,medicine,chemical industry and forestry.
