| Abstract: | Two populations of H.avenae from Taigu,Shanxi and Guzhen,Anhui were tested for theirpathotype identitics,They exhibited identical reaction to the 11 cultivars of cereals in group A ofthe international Test Collection.i.e.except for the wheat cultivar,Capa.They were avirulentto the 4 barley cultivars,4 oats cultivars and the other 2 wheat cultivars.The reaction demon-strated that the two populations are of a new pathotype,different from all the 13 pathotypes thathave been described and nominated.The pathogenicity of the two Chinese populations are some-what similar to that of the two Swedish populations,Knislinge and Ringsasen.The Swedish pop-ulations are virulent on the barley cultivar"Morocco",but the two Chinese populations are not. |
