Abstract:Neurological examination of a heifer displaying pelvic limb ataxia and paresis progressing to a dog-sit position but with normal thoracic limb function indicated a spinal cord lesion in the low thoracic/high lumbar region. The progressive neurological deterioration despite normal radiological and cerebrospinal fluid findings were suggestive of a non-inflammatory, non-traumatic extradural compressive lesion; this was subsequently shown to be a lymphosarcoma.
