| Abstract: | An experiment was conducted to study the effect of small rodents on seed predation and dispersal of five tree species with different seed traits in Xiaoxing'an Mountains in September 2009.Results indicate that Apodemus peninsulae,Clethrionomys rufocanus and Eutamias sibiricus are main seed dispersers and predators.The removal rates of the five tree species varied significantly,i.e.,much more seeds(65%) of Juglans mandshurica with the largest size and thickest pericarp were remained in seed stations,and a hi... |
