Accelerating grassland restoration in rocky desertification area, promoting eco-environmental reconstruction in karst region

Rocky desertification is a severe problem in karst region that results in soil erosion and natural disasters such as drought and flood,which in turn worsen the poverty in the region.Consequently,it has become a hot issue that is in the way of social,economic and ecological development.Grassland restoration is the most effective way to solve these problems by reducing soil erosion,increasing farmer income and achieving sustainable development.When measures are taken to restore grassland,priority should be on the protecting and properly utilizing of the natural grassland,integrating pasture establishment,developing pasture-livestock system,firedamp engineering and pastoral eco-tourism.It is feasible to finance all round so as to increase the investment in grassland restoration.
