The Effects of T1BL.1RS Translocation Chromosome on Partial Correlations among Agronomic Characters in Wheat

The effects of T1BL.1RS translocation chromosome on partial correlations among agronomic characters in wheat were investigated by using 112 lines derived from the F 9 population of a triple cross among multispikelet wheat line 10 A, 88 1643 and Chuanyu12 (10 A/88 1643//Chuanyu12). The results showed that some partial correlations were significant in both T1BL.1RS and non T1BL.1RS chromosome groups, and some significant partial correlations were only detected within the T1BL.1RS or non T1BL.1RS chromosome groups, while some partial correlations were non significant in both chromosome groups. Grain number per spike was negatively partial correlated with heading date in T1BL.1RS groups, while grain number per spike was positively associated to heading date in non T1BL.1RS groups. These results suggested that the T1BL.1RS chromosome not only had significant impact on the degree of partial correlations among agronomic characters but also had effects on the property of partial correlations.
