| Abstract: | This paper reviews more than 20 years of the history of the province's unrelenting efforts in combating the impoverished situation in the province through promoting science and technology.Meanwhile,key elements to the success in helping the poor in Fujian are analyzed and summarized.Some countermeasures and suggestions for poverty-alleviation and economic/industrial development in the poor areas in the future are presented. |
