Abstract:By applying different amounts of biogas sludge on soil,the N and P utilization efficiency by Pennisetum purpureum and the N and P contents in soil were studied.The application rates of the sludge used for the experimentation were 0,40,60,80 and 100 kg·m-2.The results showed that P.purpureum could grow well with appropriate application of the biogas sludge.The highest N utilization efficiency was found with the application rate of 27.5% at 60 kg· m-2.The efficiency declined with increasing sludge application from 60 kg·m-2 to 100 kg·m-2.The greatest P utilization efficiency was 32.9% at 40 kg·m-2 application rate.The P utilizations were a constant 30.5% efficiency on all other slurry application rates.The total N in 0-30 cm layer of the soil increased with the application of biogas sludge,but showed a deficiency in 30-60 cm layer.There was no significant differences on the alkali-N,total P or available P in different layers of the soil treated or not treated with the sludge.
