Etiological and Serological Detection of Major Animal Diseases in Black Pigs in Debao County of Guangxi

In order to identity the prevalence of major animal diseases and corresponding immune effect in Debao black pigs,300 samples collected from dead pigs in 166 farms during 2018 to 2019 were detected for African swine fever virus(ASFV),classical swine fever virus(CSFV),foot-and-mouth disease virus(FMDV),porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV),pseudorabies virus(PRV),porcine circovirus virus type 2(PCV-2),mycoplasma disease(PPLO),porcine contagious pleuropneumonia(PCP),Streptococcus suis(SS),porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV),transmissible gastroenteritis virus(TGEV),and other pathogens of major diseases,and 840 serum samples were collected from 35 clinical healthy Debao black pigs from 2017 to 2020 to detect the antibodies against FMDV,CSFV and PRRSV.The results showed that the average positive rate of PCV-2 was 68.3%,and the detection rates of PRRSV,PRV,PEDV,PPLO and SS were 1.7%,1.0%,1.0%,0.3%and 0.3%,respectively;the average antibody positive rate of CSFV was 95.8%,but the rates of FMDV and PRRSV were 79.3%and 73.2%,respectively,which were lower and subject to different years.In conclusion,most diseases were effectively controlled in Debao black pigs,but the infection with PCV-2 was still serious,which was one of the main factors leading to morbidity and death of the pigs as well as poor immune effect against FMDV and PRRSV,so it was necessary to strengthen the control for PCV-2.
