| Abstract: | This paper described the history, methods, procedures and developing trends of Allowable Annual Cut (AAC) determination in British Columbia. The basic procedures of AAC determination were introduced for the cases of Tree Farm Licences and Timber Supply Areas. More details were given for the timber supply analysis with emphasis on growth and yield prediction models such as Prognosis BC、 MGM、 SDMD、 STIM、 SYLVER、 TASS、 TIPSY and VDYP. The preliminary test result of Area-Based Harvest Regulation in BC was also briefly described. |
