Abstract:The effects of ABA, GA_3, osmotic potential and pressure potential on the IAA-oxidase activity in the leaves of apple stocks were studied by means of analysing IAA remains in Ehrlich reaction. The results showed that GA_3 could obviously check the IAA-oxidase activity, while ABA promote or increase it; the osmotic potential and pressure potential also had some regulating effect on it. Only the optimum osmotic and pressure potentials kept the lowest IAA-oxidase activity and when the potential were too low, the IAA-oxidase activity increased.
