Characteristic of Biochip Technique and its Application in Veterinary Science Research

Biochip technology is the forefront of 21st century human biotechnology. It is the revolutionary technological breakthrough after gene cloning, gene sequencing and PCR technology, and now has become the focus of field of biotechnology. The most outstanding feature is its high throughput, high integration, miniaturization, parallel, diversification and automation. It is these advantages, making the biochip technology has become widely used in many fields of life science research. This paper focuses on the characteristics and status of biochips, technical aspects and its application in veterinary science are reviewed.
