The First National Park of the United States:Yellowstone National Park

The first National Park of the world,Yellowstone National Park,was founded in 1872,and it was designated as an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978.The park is bounded on mountain ranges of the Rocky Mountains,located in the Midwestern of the United States.Yellowstone climate is considered subarctic(or boreal) but is greatly influenced by different altitudes.Through volcanic eruptions and water erosion in the last hundred of thousand years,there are strange rock formations,waterfalls,canyons,rivers,geysers and hot springs.Being a large natural protective area,well covered by thick forests and rich grassland,Yellowstone is considered to be one of the largest wildlife habitats in the United States.Sixty million people had visited Yellowstone.It should be a role model for our specialty ecosystem management and national park establishment.
