| Abstract: | A long photoperiod of 18 hours light alternating with 6 hours darkness (18L 6D) was found to retard gonadal maturation in the rabbitfish (Siganus canaliculatus Park) compared to the normal photoperiod of 12L 12D. Thus, a long photoperiod may be used to delay the breeding season of the fish. |
