Advance in the Relationship between Sertoli Cell Cytoskeleton and Spermatogenesis

Spermatogenesis is an exact progress partly regulated by Sertoli cell whose integrity ensures the normal progress of spermatogenesis. Sertoli cell cytoskeleton includes microfilament, microtuble and intermediate filament which partcipate to constitute blood testis barrier, offer physical support and stabile microenvironment,and play a significant role in sustaining the integrity of seminiferous epithelium,influence the protein secretion of Sertoli cell and its orientational transport. Any factor which causes the destruction of Sertoli cell cytoskeleton can make germ cell apoptosis and cause abnormal modification and migration. The article mainly expounded the role and mechanism of Sertoli cell cytoskeleton in many factors that influence spermatogenesis.
