Abstract:Juvenile in vitro embryo transfer(JIVET) is an important animal reproductive technology and always concerned by many academies or institutes for its broad potential value in reproducing quickly domestic animals with good property,reducing the generation duration of breeding and reserving genetic resources and so on.However,efficiency of JIVET was not high,so many researchers were dedicated to improve the efficiency of JIVET.The current status of JIVET and a number of factors affecting its efficiency including selection of the donor,hormone stimulation prior to oocyte collection,gene expression,developmental capabilities,cryopreservation tolerance,in vitro culture system of prepubertal oocytes and IVF embryos were described.Problems and future fields of JIVET were summarized as to provide theoretical references for commercial production and applications in other domestic animals.
