| Abstract: | This paper deals with schemes layout of the Sanmentan Hydropower Station and some design features of its hydraulic structures, i. e. the layout type of the power station, locating dam axis, layout of diversion canal, forebay design, layout of the powerhouse and dam design. Meantime, the alternatives comparisons are mentioned also. There are some new and original features in several aspects, specially in the dam design, the hollow gravity dam filled with slay and stone, frame-squares dam filled with slag and stone, the lift-horizontal type gate and the bucket with double sill and short basin. All of these will be out great reference value to us in our engineering practice. |
