三位女性之悲歌——苔丝、爱玛、安娜“自杀”原由探析

笔者认为苔丝、爱玛、安娜“自杀”主要有三个方面的原因：首先，对爱情的绝望是她们自杀的最直接原因；其次，她们自身带着沉重的罪恶感。一方面想从现实环境中逃脱出来，一方面又无法摆脱既定的社会法则；最后，她们都生活在转型时期比较混乱的社会环境中，各种社会因素交织成一张巨网，使她们围困其中而无法动弹。

Three Women＇s Elegies ---the Causes for the ＂Suicide＂ of Tess,Emma and Anna

This article explores the underlying causes for the suicide committed by Tess, Emma and Anna. The author argues that there are three main causes. First, love is the most direct cause; secondly, they are heavily burdened with guilt： they want to escape from reality but are unable to shake off the existing social norms; and finally, they all live in a chaotic social environment during the restructuring of the society, and various social factors are interwoven into a giant network, by which they are trapped and are unable to move.
