Producing chitin and chitosan from the eggs shell of brine shrimp

The eggs shell of brine shrimp contains abundant chitin that can be distilled easily by using chemical methods.The chitosan from chitin has high values in many fields,like food,medicine,environmental protection,cosmetic,etc.In this paper the method and the process of distilling the chitin from the eggs shell of brine shrimp and producing the chitosan are introduced in details.And the spectrogram of chitosan from eggs shell of brine shrimp is detected by using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer(FT-IR) and contrasted with the spectrum of chitosan from crab shells in standard spectrum warehouse of America,which approves that chitosan can be produced from the eggs shell of brine shrimp.
