Zur Histologie der Raupen vonOrgyia antiqua L., (Lepid., Lymantriidae) nach Behandlung mit einemBacillus thuringiensis-Präparat

Summary Studies of histology ofOrgyia antiqua-larvae infected byBacillus thuringiensis IIrd and IVth instar larvae ofO. antiqua were infected orally with a preparation ofBacillus thuringiensis (3,3%). Micro-slices were made using the hemaulaun-eosine staining technique. Histological changes appeared 9 hours after the infection. The role of both toxin and vegetative cells of the Bacillus in the development of the infection process in larvae is discussed.
