论现代林业

所谓现代林业，就是在现代科学认识的基础上，用现代技术装备武装和用现代工艺方法生产以及用现代科学管理方法经营管理的可持续发展的林业。作者从历史发展的各个不同角度，对林业发展的走势进行了深入的分析与评价，并在此基础上描绘了现代林业的大致轮廓，论述了生态林业是现代林业的基本经营模式；社会林业是现代林业的基本社会组织形式。

On the Modern Forestry

Modern forestry is an outcome of historical development of the traditional forestry. The so-called modern forestry, in fact, is sustainable forestry development based on modern science and technology and scientific management. However, the development of modern forestry has very much been behind industry and agriculture. The authour intends to analyze and evaluate the trends in the development of forestry from different point of view, and tried to draw a picture of modern forestry. Ecological forestry is an essential mode of forest management, social forestry is a basic organization form in the modern forestry.
