Abstract: | It is established that coherence of light is a significant parameter of an equipment implement of agrotechnologies using monochromatic
(quasi-monochromatic) radiation. Brief irradiation of apples with high-coherence light reduced fruit losses during storage
and with low-coherence light intensifies fungal infection of fruits. The photostimulation effect is most expressed in cells
whose size doesn’t exceed the length of field coherence. For most plants the given condition is realized at a width of the
spectral line of quasi-monochromatic radiation less than 25 nm.
