米老排的研究进展及其开发利用前景

米老排（Mytilaga laosensis Lecomte）属金缕梅科（Hamamelidaceae）壳菜果属（Mytilaria）常绿阔叶乔木，天然分布于我国广东、广西、云南及东南亚等地，是一种优良速生用材树种。文章综述了米老排形态特性、生长特性、生理生化特性以及涵养水源、改良土壤、防火、制浆造纸等方面的研究进展，介绍了其引种、育苗和造林方面的研究概况，并结合前人的研究成果，对米老排在改建防火林带、园林绿化、结构用材等方面的开发利用前景作了展望。

Exploitation and utilization prospects of eximious native tree species Mytilaria laosensis

Mytilaria laosensis, belonged to the family Hamamelidaceae, is an evergreen broadleaf arbor and one of the excellent commercial tree species which grows in Guangxi, Guangdong, Yunnan and southeast Asia, etc. The species is characterized by rapid growth, large biomass, etc. In the present study, the morpho-physiological and growth characteristics of Mytilaria laosensis and its application in conservation of water resources, improvement of soil, prevention of fire and utilization in pulp and paper industry have been summarized. An introduction of this species, its breeding and its use as afforestation materials have also been discussed. Further, its exploitation and utilization prospects in reconstruction of fire forest belt, garden greening and use as structural materials were proposed.
