Abstract:On the basis of drawing the map of land resources, the quality of land resources is evaluated and the areas of land resources are measured in this paper. In accordance with land suitability to agriculture, forestry and husbandry, the land utilization structure of Daliushu irrigated region in agriculture, forestry and husbandry is: 75.24% for agriculture, 8.20% for forestry, 10.43% for husbandry and 6.13% for other land use. According to irrigation capability and land characteristies of Ningxia irrigated regi- on, we found that 5116.87 square kilometers (7675300mu) land can be dev- eloped for farm land of automaticly - flowing irrigation, of which, 3206.93 square kilometers (4891400mu) land is in east trunk, canal region and the rest in west. There are also 4669.13 square kilometers (2783900mu) land which can be developed for farm land of pumping water irrigation, of which, 4659.07 square kilometers (7003700mu) land is in east trunk canal region and only 10.07 square kilometers (15100mu) in west. Some proposals for agricultural development in Ningxia irrigated region are put out at the end of this paper.
