| Abstract: | Based on our investigations on fixed fields, we studied the seed-spreading, sapling-dwelling and species-competing of Amentotaxus argotaenia . The results show that broad-leaved forest is the precondition of generating Amentotaxus argotaenia community. The highly clumped pattern of sapling is the basis of forming dominant species. A particular structure, i.e. the arbor stratum covered with broad-leaved forest, which adapts Amentotaxus argotaenia to illumination, helps to stabilize and develop the community. The study provides an important theoretical basis for the safeguarding of natural Amentotaxus argotaenia commmunity and the succession of planted forests. |
