Impact of China''''s WTO Membership on Tibet Rangeland Animal Husbandry and the Safeguard Measures

The present paper denotes the impact that presses the rangeland animal husbandry of Tibet Autonomous Region after China joining WTO, and the current problems confronting the Tibet rangeland. Based on the region's geographical conditions, natural resources, and economic structures, the paper discusses the proper application of the WTO rules for Tibet's animal industry to partake in the globalization of the international economy, seizing opportunities and taking up challenges. Targeting the demands of the domestic and international markets, Tibet Autonomous Region should optimize both the region's agriculture and the animal industry structures, and speed up their capacity to meet the demands of the markets. Positively playing a role in the international market division, the Tibet agriculture must throw into the international agricultural production circulation, so that other country's predominance is complementary to ours, and vice versa.
