| Abstract: | Indicators for xanthine oxidase activity and lipid metabolism were elevated in the blood of one- or two-month-old Landrace piglets and weanlings with different genotypes, which signaled oxidative stress present in the animals in this stage of life. A xanthine oxidase activity assay is proposed for use in assessing the sensitivity of pigs to oxidative stress. |
