中国温带荒漠山地垂直地带性的遗产价值

准噶尔盆地周围山地集荒漠、草原、森林、高山灌丛、草甸、冻原、冰缘稀疏植被、冰川、湖泊和湿地于一体,拥有世界中温带荒漠区域最完整的垂直地带性特性。这既是一个具有世界价值独一无二的自然区域和生物演化过程的突出例证,又是尚存的珍稀濒危动植物物种栖息地,完全符合世界自然遗产的标准和要求。因此,为了能够尽快进入世界文化与自然遗产名单,建议在申遗过程中:①完善"申遗"领导小组及其办公室的建制;②加强参与"申遗"的保护区的管理;③完善博格达生物圈保护区与喀纳斯湖国家级保护区建立的共管保护区的建制;④应围绕生态和文化旅游的需求因地制宜地发掘和建立一批生物多样性产业,以满足社会各方面需求;⑤进一步开展对该区域遗产的科学研究;⑥对当地居民和外来旅游者加强宣传教育。
