The Development Trend of World Forestry -Industrial Policies to the Year 2000

Abstract This paper expounds in details the development trend of world forestry indus-trial policies to the year 2000 in 5 aspects:(1)The sustainable forestry developmentstrategy will be continuously implemented;(2)The forestry management system will bedeveloped in the direction of promoting varied benefits and of intensive management;(3)The policy of devoting major efforts to developing forestry plantation will be furthertaken;(4)The supporting policy to forestry will be continuously executed;and(5)Thepolicy of optimizing forestry industrial structures is expected to be kept on implementa-tion. The paper also interprets the arduousness of sustainable forestry developmentfrom the international points of view.
